Vernazza, Italy
Cinque Terra is a series of little towns on the water, connected by train and a ferry. On our honeymoom, we spent time in Vernazza and couldn't wait to come back. Our second day in Lavagna was a trip to Vernazza, and it was a good thing. The following day, the trains were going on strike for one day.
See where my finger is point to? That is the place we stayed 13 years ago on our honeymoon. We encountered a rain storm and spent most of one day n the apartment playing cards. But on this day, it was blue sky, warm and sunny. Time to jump in…
We found an empty rock, layed out our towels and jumped in. It was fabulous. The bottom right picture shows the swimming area with the rocks up next to the cement wall. There is also a sandy beach in the middle of the square, but we wanted to be away from the kids and people.
Keith hiked to the top of the tower and took these amazing pictures. Then it was time to grab a gelato and catch the train. It was in the high 90's and very hot outside.
