Venice, Italy - Day 4
This was our last full day and we decided to do maintenance type things and a little shopping. It was a ‘take it easy’ kind'a day. First stop was to drop off box #3 of goodies and cold weather clothes at the DHL to be shipped home. They are so efficient and it is worth it to lighten our suitcases a bit.
Next stop was another haircut for Keith. Boy, he grows hair fast. The barber didn't quite get the instructions right and there was very little left. I thought he looked handsome, but he thought it was a bit too short. Ahhh, it'll be ready for another cut in 3-4 weeks.
Then it was time for espresso and a cannoli. We typically grab a croissant but this time we did something different. They were good, but one was enough.
We spent the rest of the afternoon shopping for warm weather clothes for our boat trips. Not to much, but some fun things.
We were almost home when I had a spill going up the bridge stairs. Ouch! Dislocated one finger, split my knee open and just banged up good. It was quite the scene and everyone around was so helpful. I was embarrassed and just wanted to get home to clean up. Advil and bandages were my best friends for the days following as I healed. My loving husband said he was proud of me, I didn't fall down this time, I fell up - brat!
