Venice, Italy - Day 3

It was Sunday morning and we had looked for a local English speaking Christian church and couldn't find a one. So we stayed in and watched a service on-line. Then it was time to venture out and we decided to take a different route - go left instead of right - see where it takes us. Just around the corner to another canal and we found a party! Who knew!!!!

The Annual Boat Festival parading through a course on the canals. There were almost 2000 boats of all sizes, shapes, and colors. We sat, watched, cheered, and were thoroughly entertained for over an hour. We figured they were coming to an end, so we went on to get some lunch. We headed back about an hour later, and the parade was still going with no end in sight. What fun and we just stumbled upon it.

Then it was down time (someone needed a nap) and we would head out again after the crowds cleared. We had passed this Ferrari shop several times, and this time it grabbed him. We're thinking about coming next year for the Formula 1 race with some friends, so he probably made a wise decision to buy this now at today's prices. I thought he looked so handsome in it.

One of our most favorite things about Venice is the musical concerts on the street corner. We passed several groups singing and I could stand there all day and listen. These are professional singers, some were college age and some were our age. Notice the young boy - he is holding a small keyboard that is used for everyone to get their pitch. He stood so still duing the whole performance. That was his job and he took it seriously… precious.
