Tuscany Region - Day 3

We had planned a day trip to Monteriggioni, that was about a 30 minute drive away. We decided to do the backrounds and had more fun on the drive, than the destination.

One of the highlights of this little walled city is there is a walkway along the top of the inside wall. You used to be able to climb the stairs and walk around the wall and take amazing pictures. The stairs are now closed so it was very sad.

We decided to head back and hang out at home for the day. It was a nice break. This is our backyard and it was a beautiful afternoon to lay the pool and lounge in the yard.

The evening was a big hit. Our hostess planned a dinner party with all the visitors and we had a good old fashioned Italian meal together. It was the highlight of the day. We enjoy making new friends.
