Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia

The next morning, we headed to the National Park. This was a must see and was a perfect day trip between Sibenik and our next destination - Krk Island.

There were waterfalls everywhere and we have never seen water so clear and green like this.

Look carefully at this picture, it is not upside down. The water is so clear, it is reflecting the sky and trees at the edge of the walkway. And those are fish swimming around. It was incredible.

You can see in the diagram, there are nine lakes and we only traveled through the three lower lakes.

At the end of the hike, we took a water taxi back across the third lake, then another short hike back to the main entrance. This was an amazing day!
