Krk Island, Croatia - Last Stop
We could not believe it had been three months and this was our last stop before heading home. Krk (Kirk) Island was highly recommended and we found it to be beautiful with warm water, sunny beaches, and a great place to take it all in one more time.
So much so that we decided to do two beaches. The top beach was fun and as the sun rose higher, there wasn't much room to get away from it. We decided to head back to the hotel, but on the way, we found the second beach with a great little restaurant. So we spent the rest of the afternoon napping and enjoying this much quieter beach. Both were beautiful.
We wandered through town at dinner time and found one more beautiful flowering Bougainvillea tree. They are just so stunning.
But this little guy was a treat… This is Meil and he and his family were sitting in front of us at dinner, and he was hilarious. He would look at me, wrinkle up his nose and grin. It was so funny and cute, I had to ask his mom if we could get a picture. He was such a flirt and we warned mom and dad that he'll be a handful when he gets older. They laughed and agreed, he already was. Priceless.
Time to head back and pack, as we started flying west the next morning. Thank you all for taking this journey with us through thirteen countries, over countless miles, creating amazing memories. We enjoyed every minute (except when I hit the toll gate) and loved meeting amazing people and creating new friends. And most of all, thank you Jesus for guiding our steps and protecting us as we journeyed.
