Fun with friends.

This is Jodi and her mum, Donna, but we all just called her mum. They are from Calgary, Canada and we quickly became fun friends.

The first picture is of double-fisted Jodi celebrating happy hour with champagne and a glass of wine … I don't think she finished either one.

Each passenger is invited to a fancy “Chef's Dinner". It seats only 16 and is a very special meal with amazing food not served in the main dining room. We chose to do ours the first night on board with Jodi and Mum.

In the second picture, Mum had just finished a chocolate bomb dessert. It was a large chocolate ball with a yummy filling, then they poured hot chocolate over the top, melting the whole thing. It was amazing to watch and very rich. By the end of the seven course meal, we were stuffed. The dinner was excellent and then this dessert was over the top. Mum was so very full and we just happend to catch her with this funny expression. We all had a good laugh.

One evening, the Captain came and visited our table. We always grabbed the big table so we could engage with each other. Around the table from the left is Mum, Jodi, Captain, Julie, Melanie, Dave, Lindsey, Ben, me and Keith. The meals were at lesat four courses with several options and so very good. It was nice they served small portions so we didn't fill up too much.

A great evening at the Opera with Traci and Kevin.

Julie was traveling by herself and we loved hanging out with her. A funny story, the first night we all ate together, we learned Julie didn't like the creamed butter. She wanted pads of butter. Our waiter Zin was so fun. He'd bring a plate of butter pads just for Julie. But, he also found each of us at lunch and made sure there were butter pads on our table, and would deliver them himself. He was so fun and it was always the joke, where's the butter! Julie will forever be famous for her butter pads.

Of course I wanted to see the helm. This was impressive and was piloted by one captain at a time. I was surprised no one else was needed but everything was so electronic. The boat was docked so no, I didn't steer the boat!

It was a night for dancing and fun music and everyone was having fun. Mum was showing us all how it was done! Then we had a contest - identify the song and original artist. We broke up into three teams and yes, our team won. The prize was our house musician created a song for us, based on a random theme we had to choose. It was a great evening and shockingly, we were in bed before midnight.
