Day 7 - Tuscany Region

Our last full day in the Tuscany region and we wanted a simple road trip. Destination: San Gimignano (Gem-eeg-naan-yoh). We had a very fun event planned for the afternoon that we couldn't miss, so this was a great half day excursion.

What do you do first … climb the tower of course. My knee was still healing from my fall, so Keith climbed the 250 stairs to the top. He said the view was tremendous.

Here's a beautiful picture of the country side from the tower. We spent several hours meandering around and found some keepsakes to ship home. It was cool, minimal crowds, and had wonderful little shops. This was one of our favorites.

We are always admiring the doors, it's just a thang with us. This one was so old and yet still had a unique knocker. Someone actually lived here so we had to be discreet.

Then it was time to head back to the mountain top…. a dream is about to come true!
