Day 4-5 Paros & Anti-Paros

As we arrived in the channel between these two islands, there were kite boarders everywhere. It was very fun to watch them swoop and dive like they had wings.

Our first stop was at Blue Lagoon, a very small channel between two little islands with amazing light blue water. It was so beautiful and we jumped in… and then jumped right back out… brrrr.

We ventured into town the following morning and there is always a beautiful church to welcome us. They are tucked in everywhere you go. I loved the image of the sun rising over the top.

While on Paros, the group split up. Some went to the miniature museum where they found this amazing replica of a windmill.

Keith and I took a bus into town and then a ferry to Anti-Paros. It took 12 minutes to cross the channel… the fastest ferry ride we've ever taken. It was an adorable quaint little town.

We crossed back over to the mainland and continued up the road on the bus to Parikia. This was a much bigger city with lots of activity. We had a great lunch, made a few purchases at the grocery store, and then headed back to Paros. On the way, we picked up a number of jr. high and high school kids. Apparently, the local bus system is also the school bus system.

One thing about a bareboat charter, we were having to provision food every couple of days. There just wasn't room in the three refrigerators/freezers to last more than a couple of days. And we had to be careful with the desserts.

This is a picture of yummy desserts. Jill and I shared a number of shares of baklava. They were all so good!
