Day 1 - Kea Island

The boat was in port early and ready to go, so we were able to leave Athens earlier than expected. Everyone was excited - after two years of planning, we were finally on the water. We hoped we could get farther than we did, but the wind was just too much. We found a great cove on the south side of Kea and called it a day.

We were all a bit tired and it was going to be a long trip the following day, so everyone headed to bed early. The billions of stars were so cool. I love a dark night sky!

Silly George was the self appointed cook/chef and he did an amazing job. He made all the evening meals with a few exceptions, and a few breakfasts. He took care of all the groceries, menus, and made sure everyone had happy tummies. It was awesome.

Jill was the self appointed chief dishwasher. Several of us helped out but she was always at the sink after the meal making sure everything was clean. She too was an angel… her quote “It brings me joy".
