Athens, Greece

This is the 2026 Greek Islands team. Keith and I have traveled before with Billie, Craig, and Rob and it was fun to add several more to our group. We all have boating experience so we truly were a team.

We arrived in Athens several days before we launched. This gave us time to confirm our itenerary and do final provisioning. We each had a hotel/apartment across from the marina so we could store items as we purchased them. It was very hot and it was nice to have cool rooms to rest out of the heat.

It is launch day and the limo van arrived for transport. It was good to have everything in one place so nothing got left behind. The marina was across a very busy 4+ lane roadway - to far and to hot to try and carry everything.

This is our home for two weeks - “Zen" - four staterooms, each with a private bathroom, a huge galley and plenty of room to spread out.

It took a couple of hours to get all the paperwork done and everything loaded and put away. The local store delivered our many bags of groceries right to the boat - a huge blessing. We settled in and launched at 2:00 pm.
