San Vito di Cadore, Italy
We arrived at our AirBnb in Cadore and it was a beautiful place. One problem, it didn't have any heat. The gas company turns off the gas to the whole community from April to October each year. Normally, that wouldn't be a problem, but a storm was approaching and it was cold. To add to that, I was coming down with a cold and had the chills. Our plan was to be there for four days, so we could hike in the Dolomite mountains. Already, there was rain, thunder, lightening and it was looking sketchy. I was very sad.
My loving husband found a beautiful spa the next town over and booked us for several hours. This was just what the doctor ordered and we loved the warmth and relaxation. It's hard to tell in this picture, but it's pouring rain outside.
We tried to both get massages, but just couldn't line up the times, so I let Keith take the massage and I stayed after lunch and had dessert. I think I may have had the better deal, although he argued that wasn't the case when we was done.
After hoping and praying the weather would clear, we finally made the decision to cancel our reamining nights and head back down the mountain. This was one of the benefits of not booking too far in advance so it was easy to make adjustments. Time to move on.
