Capri, Italy

This is one of my favorite places in Italy. We spent two nights so we had a full day to play. Our apartment was at the top of the hill looking down at the harbor. We thought it would get us out of the traffic - not so much!

The main event was a boat trip around the island including a journey into the Blue Grotto cave. We took a private tour and it was so nice. It gave us freedom to do extra things, like swimming in the caves and going through the tunnel of love, which technically isn't allowed anymore.

We finished the day again with a fabluous meal. What I didnt' realize, until the following morning, was I had left my purse under the table. We had one hour before we had to head down to the ferry to leave the island, so we raced back to the restaurant and sure enough, they were expecting us. Whew - that was a relief.

I quiet walk through the town after a great meal - it was so refreshing and beautiful.

This was our ride back down the mountain - no that's not us sitting in it, we were getting our luggage out when another couple jumped in. What a beautiful old fiat - the driver and his son had restored it.
